1. Conversion Tracking
Improvely’s conversion tracking tells you exactly how many have converted, how they did so, and what your ROI is. That’s for every channel and site you use. Helpfully, the information is available either at a higher level or in a detailed view. With the bird’s eye view, you can view the total traffic, as well as the visits generated by Ads, search, or organically. You can view all this information either on the dashboard or by clicking the View Report button.
The dashboard showcases your progress over time, displaying two sets of information simultaneously, one in bars and the other as a line. While the default view shows people visited versus conversions, you can choose to observe a wide range of other factors instead. Costs, CPC, revenue, profit, visits, and conversion rates are some of them.
View Report Button
By clicking the View Report button, you get a more detailed picture of the traffic and conversions. Data segregation is by traffic source, campaign run, the medium of that campaign, as well as content used. Even more detailed information can be viewed, like the site the traffic was referred from, the pages that generated revenue, and for search traffic, the keywords used. What’s more, you can learn about the regions the visits were from, and the visits/sales breakup by day and hour.
Such detailed information gives you a keen understanding of what’s working and what can improve. You know where the volumes come from as well as your top sources of profits. Eventually, it should help fine-tune your strategies so that you’re spending your time and money effectively.
Setting a goal
Conversions happen when a goal is reached. And as expected, a goal can vary. It could be the closing of a sale, subscribing to a newsletter, or filling a form. To set a goal in Improvely, you need to paste a specified conversion code (which includes a unique goal name and its associated revenue) onto the ‘thank you’ page that appears after the goal is achieved.
2. Custom Funnel Reports
The Conversion Funnels tab lets you observe the process of conversion more closely. You get to know how many people progressed from one step to the next. For example, if you’re running an online library, you could have two conversion flows. One is a subscription flow, and the other a book lending flow. The steps for the former are visiting the site, going to the subscription plans page, and buying a subscription. The book-lending process could be searching for a book, adding it to the cart, and paying for it. With Improvely’s unique funnel reports, you learn how many people got to each step and then moved to the next, both in volumes as well as percentages. This data can be observed by channel, ads content, device location, and so on.
You learn which processes are more efficient and make changes when you notice a low rate of progress from one step to another.
3. A/B Split Tests
Improvely’s built-in A/B split test helps you If you want to compare different landing pages to see which is more effective, or just observe the effect of a change on a page. You just have to choose this option after clicking on ‘Create New’ on the main menu. Then, you add in the links to be compared, even specifying the weightage you want to give each page. Also, you can quickly run a test every time you add a new link to be tracked.
4. Revenue Tracking
You can track your revenue easily by entering PPC and affiliate commission data via Excel files. You can import PPC data from your Google Adwords or Bing Ads account. Once you do this, costs and commissions are added each time a click is made. What’s more, revenues are also taken into account each time a goal is reached. As a result, you get access to real-time financial data like revenues, revenue per person, revenue per converted person, profits, and ROI.
5. Customer Profiles
A profile is created for every unique visitor. The details recorded include email, number of visits, time to conversion, number of conversions, and lifetime purchase value. What’s more, every single visit is logged. Information such as location, IP address, and referrer is now a part of your database. Also, if the person came in via an ad, its type, content, and campaign name are recorded. Having a more in-depth knowledge of your customers can help in multiple ways. You can reward your top patrons and give them more attention. On the other hand, you can run targeted ads for the consumer profile that generates the most revenues.
6. Real-time Spy
Real-time spy displays new events as they occur. It showcases sales, new visits, et al. It’s especially useful when you’re waiting to go to your manager the moment the target is achieved. 7. Click Fraud

Any suspicious activity, and you’re immediately notified by email. Typical red flags include excessive non-converting clicks from one geographical area or multiple clicks from one IP address. So the next time a fraudulent user clicks, they are taken to a warning page instead of the landing page. Besides, every suspicious activity is recorded, along with the time, location, and IP address. You can download this as a report and send it to the search engine or site your ad was on, to claim a refund. What’s more, you can then block those IP addresses from seeing your ads on Google or Bing in the future.
8. Affiliate Marketing – Conversion Tracking For Commissions
If you’re into affiliate advertising, either on your site or elsewhere, Improvely has the perfect solutions for you. It will track which of your ads, campaigns, or keywords are earning you money. To make it work, you need to click on Affiliate Outlink from the Create New menu option. Then you enter the URL the user should be directed to, the name of the affiliate network, and the link you want the user to see when they get onto your landing page or ad. Here, there’s the uber useful ‘enable link cloaking’ option. It prevents site visitors from seeing the destination URL. Besides, you can also hide your campaigns and keywords from affiliates, as well as the competition. The software hides the links as well as referees, so others cannot see where your promotions are running.
Of course, if your affiliate allows you to give users a conversion code, the sales will immediately register on your Improvely page the moment someone enters that code on the website to which you refer people. Also note that if you are advertising on another site, and redirecting anyone who clicks directly to the referral site, you need to add the URL as a New Tracking Link in the Create New menu. To make things easy, you can import affiliate commissions via an Excel CSV file.
The software works with any affiliate program that allows tracking pixels or sub-ID parameters. Some of such popular affiliate networks include Commission Junction, LinkShare, MaxBounty, ClickBank, and more.
